Fish Stocking

One of the many services that we offer at EMS is Fish Stocking. Come visit us at our Fish Hatchery in the Brunswick, Georgia office. Walk-ins always welcome! Many species of fish in many different sizes are available. From keeping control of the weed and algae problem in your lake with Triploid Grass Carp to haulin' in that lunker Bass or Catfish in your old fishin' hole, we're here to accommodate all of our customer's needs!

Crappie

Crappie (Pomoxis nigromaculatus) is an excellent eating fish as well as game fish.
Suggested Stock Rates: 50-100 per acre

Warmouth

Warmouth (Chaenobryttus gulosus) is an excellent game fish.
Suggested Stock Rates: 50 per acre

Note: Some restrictions may apply to certain fish species so prior to ordering such fish as Grass Carp check with your state's Department of Fish and Wildlife for laws and regulations on importation of Triploid Grass Carp, a.k.a. Large Mouth Bass

The Largemouth Bass (Micropterus salmoides) is one of the most popular freshwater game fish in the southeast US. Their ability to strike at most artificial lures and to help keep overpopulation of smaller feed fish in check make this fish an excellent addition to any pond or lake.
Suggested Stock Rates: 100 per acre

Bluegill Bream

The Bluegill (Lepomis macrochirus) is one of four species of Bream that are available through our facility. Readliy excepts some artificial lures. Will take to fish feed quickly.
Suggested Stock Rates: 500-1000 per acre

Channel Catfish

Stock Channel Catfish The Channel Catfish (Ictalurus punctatus) is rated as one of the best-eating freshwater fish in the southeast. Also a very popular game fish.
Suggest Stock Rates: 100 per acre

Hybrid Striped Bass

Hybrid Striped Bass (Morone Genus) is an excellent eating fish as well as game fish.
Suggested Stock Rates: If stocked along with Largemouth Bass,100 per acre.
If pond is to be a "striper" pond only and feed will be used, 500-100 per acre

Triploid Grass Carp

The Triploid Grass Carp (Ctenopharyngodon idella) is an excellent tool for natural aquatic weed control. All Grass Carp sold are 100% sterile and will not reproduce.
Suggested Stock Rates: 15-20 per acre

Koi and Goldfish

Due to ever increasing popularity, EMS is now storing Koi (Carpio Genus) and ornamental Goldfish. Excellent addition for any ornamental pond.

Mosquitofish

Mosquitofish (Gambusia holbrooki) is an excellent food source for other fish. Also used to control Mosquito Larvae.

Threadfin Shad

Threadfin (Dorosoma Genus) provides ecxellent source of food for predatory fish. Reproduces often.
Suggested Stock Rates: 10,000-15,000 per 10 acres (approx. 1,000 per acre)

Fish Feeders
We carry a variety of Automatic feeders for your ponds or fields. Both Solar and Battery run timers are avilable with a feed capacity from 50lbs. to 150lbs. From
attracting those large Deer or Turkeys to feeding the fish in your ponds, we can provide the best type of feeder for your needs. Install service of feeders can be
provided.

Fish Food
We offer a wide range of fish food to suite your pond's needs. We carry from high protein to high crude fat feed in both floating and sinking variteies. Koi food is also
available.

Aerators and Diffusers
Good circulation and aeration in a pond always leads to overall better water quality. Improved circulation in a pond increases the dissolved oxygen content and better
fish health. Many brands and designs are available to meet the needs of your particular pond. Installation service offered.
