Water Chemistry Testing
Water chemistry in a pond is important for weed control and fish management. Poor water chemistry can promote weed growth and produce an imbalance in fish populations. There are two types of water chemistry tests that we perform. The first is a snap shot. The snap shot is just as it sounds, a look at the chemistry at one particular moment. This test is a good baseline test to assess the general condition chemistry. The second type of chemistry test is a profile test. The profile test is done by using state of the art LDO meters. An LDO meter is a probe that is placed in a body of water that then collects and tests water chemistry at multiple times in a 24 hour period. We then retrieve this data and graph it out. This graph shows exactly what the water chemistry is over a 24 hour period. With this data we can precisely asses your pond needs.
Littoral Zones
Littoral zones are areas in a man made pond that is planted with native aquatic vegetation. Littoral zones promote wildlife, improve aesthetics and serves as a buffer for run off. Estate Management Services, Inc. builds, plants, and manages littoral zones for any property.
