Glyphosate is a chemical used in several different brands of herbicide, including Roundup. SePro’s glyphosate formulation is called AquaPro. We use this product when appropriate, taking into consideration factors such as:
Glyphosate is a systemic herbicide. It works by moving through the plant tissue and interrupting its growth processes, starting from the point of contact (the leaf) and moving all the way to its root.
This product can be applied on its own or in a mix with other herbicides, depending on the specific needs of the water body being treated. It can be applied from the shore or from a boat.
Glyphosate is used for both aquatic and non-aquatic vegetation management; however, glyphosate formulations must be EPA approved for aquatic use. For aquatic purposes, glyphosate can only be used on emergent or above-water vegetation—it cannot be used as a water column treatment.
