Bulkhead Along a Lake

Question: What is a bulkhead along a pond or lake?

Answer: A bulkhead is just a retaining wall around the pond. The most common ornamental form of that is a wooden bulkhead, but I have seen concrete, PVC and even metal bulkheads.
