How Late in Season to Treat Pond or Lake for Weeds

Question: How late in the season is too late to treat my pond or lake for weeds?

Answer: Generally, during the fall months, applications on emergent vegetation are very successful. The key to it is applying before the plant goes dormant; generally that occurs around the first frost. But, if you can get an application in on cut grass, emergent-type weeds about October/November, you’ll be more successful than if you had done a mid-summer treatment.
