Mosquito Control in Alabama and Mississippi Ponds

Question: What methods of mosquito control do you use for ponds and lakes in Alabama and Mississippi?

Answer: Depending on the situation, you can use a couple of different things. We can spray plants and mow you know, terrestrial plants and stuff around the edge of the pond to leave some insecticide on the plants, it helps cut out the mosquitos. We also use blocks that will actually, in smaller ponds, we use these blocks that we put in the pond that actually prevent the larvae from hatching from the mosquitos. And then we can fog any areas for mosquitos also.
