Answer: One thing we’ve seen after tropical storms or hurricane events is a backup of the sewage system. The sewage system generally is connected to street drains, and those street drains are connected back to the pond. When that raw sewage or partially diluted sewage gets back into your pond, then you have issues with e-coli. And the e-coli produces a health hazard for humans and needs to be addressed immediately.
