Residential vs. Commercial Pond

Question: How does working on a residential pond differ from working on a commercial pond, for example at a golf course?

Answer: "Residential lakes—and nowadays a lot of these residential lakes are surrounded by a golf course, so a lot of times they go hand in hand: residential and golf course can be the same or they’re separate. The way the nutrient load associated with golf course or golf course residential sites are generally in excess of what you would see in, say, a farm pond or a pond behind someone’s house or out on a plantation. So these ponds are generally handled a little bit differently. It’s a much more intense management strategy; it’s slightly more complicated than, say, a mesotrophic pond that’s out on a plantation somewhere or out in a wooded area because of these nutrient loadings."
