Scarred or Wounded Fish in Lake

Question: Why would fish in my pond or lake appear to be scarred or wounded?

Answer: Generally, scarred fish are from predator issues. Around here, ospreys, any of your diving duck species, they almost catch them and that’s generally where the scar is coming from. There are certain bacterias that create legions or cysts on fish that will look like a scar. But more often times than not, it’s just predator issues.
