Use of Dye in a Tennessee Pond or Lake

Question: Why would dye be used in a pond or lake in Tennessee?

Answer: We use dye; some people like it just for the color, the aesthetic purposes. We put it in to keep ponds from being so clear, keep the sunlight from hitting the plants, to keep them from growing as fast, keep the light off of them.
