Uses of Dye in a Florida Pond

Question: Why would dye be used in a pond or lake?

Answer: A lot of people like putting dye in the pond because, you know, they say it makes it look nice, makes it look pretty, so on. But I like using the dye because what the dye does is, when you put that dye in the pond and it helps block that sunlight from penetrating the bottom of the pond and, which, when the sun does that, it’s going to heat the bottom up and cause the blooms.
