Waterfowl Problems in a Stormwater Lake

Question: Why are waterfowl problematic in a stormwater pond or lake?

Answer: Generally an excess bird population in a pond is going to create nutrient issues from fecal material, or cormorants feed on fish that you may have stocked. Generally two birds per service acre of water is an acceptable number; anything in excess of that you may want to address possible control measures.
